Graeme Maidment is professor of engineering at London South Bank University and has been responsible for developing new research ideas in low carbon technology. He has been advisor to Government, UNEP and other international organisations on the area of energy use and climate change. He is immediate past president of the UK Institute of Refrigeration. In his current role he is responsible for leading research across the University which includes the London Doctoral Academy for PhD students. He is an alumni of Wilmington Grammar School, was previously a Governor of Wilmington Grammar School for Boys and lives in Wilmington.
